2024 Annual PPA Meeting
  • To view the 2024 Annual Meeting Minutes please click here. Our annual meeting was held on Saturday, August 10, at Camp Hinds located at 146 Plains Road. The meeting agenda include: reports from the Raymond Town Manager, Sue Look, as well as updates on water sampling results, courtesy boat inspections, financials, loon count, dam restoration, PPIPERS report and new laws regarding wake boating.

  • UPDATE ​06/03/24:  The Courtesy Boat Inspection (CBI) program, managed by RWPA, is one of the most important things that happens for the protection of Panther Pond. The program, with support from PPA, RWPA, the State of Maine and grants provides the boat inspections at the Mill Street launch. RWPA, because of a lack of volunteers, has decided to create a part time, paid position to manage this program. If you are interested in the position or know someone who is, please contact RWPA. Panther Run & Tenny River
  • (FROM PETER LEITNER, ​ 04/25/24 UPDATE):  First off, thank you to the 12 neighbors that reached out to volunteer to assist with opening up the Tenny and Panther Run.  Simultaneously, I was having on going conversations with the Town and IFW.  We have been advised that the town will take care of the blockage to navigation up Panther Run from the dam.  They contracted the job out to the Q-Team and the contractor was just getting the permits in place to get started. The Public Works Director hoped that they would be getting started today or tomorrow but we will keep everyone advised. He also advised that the town would get a boat into the Tenny today or tomorrow and assess that situation and advise if they will also be able to assist in opening that up as well. The town will not cut any trees on anyone’s shore front other than what’s in or severely hanging over the water.
